CROSS INDUSTRIES APPROACH
We’re smarter collectively than individually. Traditional industry-centered meetings and conferences create silos of regurgitated information and isolated perceptions that inhibit innovation.
We’ve based our approach on the classic “Wisdom of the Crowds” experiment conducted in 1906 by statistician Francis Galton. Galton set out to prove that experts know best and would provide answers closest to the truth. He experimented by attending a livestock show in London and watched people as they guessed the weight of a dressed ox. After the winner had been declared, he asked to see the written votes. Then he sorted them according to expert knowledge of livestock: judges, those who cared for the livestock, who purchased and sold them, and then ordinary people who didn’t have any direct contact with them at all. It was the average guess of the ordinary people that were off by one pound; the “experts” were not even close.
Francis Galton concluded that to get close to the truth of anything, you need to involve a large group of people from various backgrounds who can come together and have equal input into an issue. This is the “HRDS Way.”

At HRDS, we don’t have speakers. We have facilitators, engagement sessions, and labs. We help facilitate change. Participants and facilitators discuss and engage in transformational sessions around today’s biggest work/life challenges. The skills associated with this process help people apply creativity to effectively solve real-world problems better than they otherwise would and allows participants to test new theories, taking “thought to form,” some resulting in real-time Beta projects and white papers.
